Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an IT Desktop Support Specialist to join our Batavia, Illinois team. The role focuses on Deskside end-user support for PCs/Macs, software/hardware troubleshooting, and service requests within the Desktop Support Team.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in IT service and PC/MAC OS support, with CompTIA A+ or equivalent certifications preferred. The starting pay range is $66,476 - $99,858, with comprehensive benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of IT Service Experience.
• Minimum 3 years of PC & MAC OS support experience, diagnostic/troubleshooting, and repair.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with equipment, software installation and upgrades.
• IT Certifications to include CompTIA, Microsoft, or Apple Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt initial response to all assigned service requests, ensuring the standard performance requirement is met or exceeded.
• Troubleshoot the system problem and complete repair in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal recurrence of problem (rework).
• If unable to repair on initial visit, validate the user’s problem and provide information on a temporary workaround to allow the customer to continue to work.
• Use remote assistance tools, knowledge base, and other tools to diagnose issues within target time limits.
• Provide customer with regular status updates and notify when repairs are complete.
• Communicate advice to avoid future incidents of similar nature.
• Document all required information into the call tracking system.
• Complete site-specific preventative maintenance checklist.
• Escalate the service request if unresolved within time constraints.
• Meet productivity expectations and service level targets.
