Job summary

Akkodis is hiring an experienced L2 Lab IT / Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite IT support for a pharmaceutical/life sciences R&D environment in Wilmington, DE. The role focuses on end-user support for Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM/MECM, and lab hardware/software, serving scientists and researchers.

Strong communication and customer-service skills are essential to partner with R&D teams and IT to troubleshoot routine IT issues and specialized laboratory

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, hospital or life sciences lab environments.
• Experience directly supporting scientists, researchers or R&D teams.
• Strong experience with Windows operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with Intune, SCCM, MECM, or Endpoint Manager.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 desktop and technical support for R&D, laboratory, business, and IT users.
• Provide onsite technical support to scientists, researchers, laboratory personnel, and other R&D stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, OS, endpoint, application, and connectivity issues.
• Support Windows desktop/laptop environments and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Perform endpoint administration and troubleshooting using Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Endpoint Manager.
• Support endpoint configuration, software deployment, patching, and device management.
• Work with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

Akkodis is hiring L2 Lab IT / Desktop Support Engineer role is a Contract with a client located in Wilmington, DE

Pay range : $35–$38/hour (The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced L2 Lab IT / Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support for a pharmaceutical/life sciences R&D environment. This individual will support scientists, researchers, and laboratory users while also providing traditional enterprise endpoint and desktop support.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotech, hospital laboratory, clinical laboratory, or life sciences environment, along with strong hands-on experience supporting Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM/MECM, and laboratory hardware/software.

This role requires excellent communication and customer-service skills, as the engineer will work directly with scientists and R&D teams and will be responsible for troubleshooting both standard IT issues and specialized laboratory technologies.

Key Responsibilities
