Job summary

The SAN-Juan-County,-Nm Sheriff's Office is seeking an IT Technician to maintain and repair desktop and laptop computers, provide help desk support, train staff in Microsoft Office, and assist with network and ERP system tasks on site.

Qualifications

• Provides technical help desk support to employees.
• Trains employees in Microsoft Office and proprietary software.
• Assists in network troubleshooting and ERP system usage.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots PC hardware and software; diagnoses problems and makes repairs; assists with network troubleshooting and mapping of ports, switches and computers.
• Repairs and replaces equipment including modems, printers, scanners, CD/DVD-ROM drives and hard drives; upgrades memory and processors.
• Tracks, inventories and moves PCs between substations; configures software and network connections.
• Maintains the telephone system; configures systems for new and transferred users; provides end-user training on phones and voicemail.
• Creates and maintains databases in Microsoft Access and SQL; develops standard and special reports; trains users on databases.
• Trains employees in the Microsoft Office Suite; develops files and templates for job needs.
• Assists in budget development and five-year plan data collection; supports plan implementation.
• Assists with Active Directory group policy administration.
• Assists with basic website maintenance and repairs.
• Schedules and performs backup procedures for servers and workstations.
• Maintains and troubleshoots in-car video camera systems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
