County of San Juan (NM) seeks an IT Technician under general supervision to maintain, repair, deploy and troubleshoot Sheriff’s Office desktop and laptop computers; install software; provide training and help desk support to employees. Duties include Microsoft Office and proprietary software training and basic network support.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with two years of computer maintenance experience; NM driver's license; IT certifications preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required; two years in computer maintenance and operations.
• Technical training in the computer field preferred.
• Valid NM driver’s license or able to obtain within six months.
• IT Technician certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoots problems on PC hardware and software; diagnoses problems and repairs.
• Repairs and replaces equipment including modems, printers and drives; upgrades memory and processors.
• Tracks, inventories and moves PCs between locations; configures software and network connections.
• Maintains and updates the telephone system; configures for new/ transferred users; trains users on phones and voicemail.
• Creates and maintains databases in Microsoft Access and SQL; develops reports and trains users.
• Trains employees in Microsoft Office Suite; develops templates.
• Assists in department budget development and five-year plan data collection.
• Assists with Active Directory group policy administration.
• Assists with basic website maintenance and repairs.
• Schedules and performs backup procedures for servers and workstations.
• Maintains and troubleshoots in-car video camera systems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
