Job summary
Navajo County is seeking a competent IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance, install and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, and software. This role involves diagnosing hardware and software issues, guiding users, and coordinating new system deployments.
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or technical training in Computer Science and at least one year of related experience; government setting experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or technical school graduation in Computer Science.
- At least 1 year experience in computer setup, repair, upgrading and operations.
- Government setting experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical support to users on all aspects of personal computers.
- Repairs computers or upgrades components.
- Schedules, coordinates with users and sets up new systems.
- Installs and/or troubleshoots computer peripherals.
- Installs, troubleshoots and/or upgrades software.
- Upgrades, installs, maintains and repairs computers and/or electronic communications equipment and components.
- Provides information to users regarding software utilization and computer literacy.
- Recommends new software, hardware and enhancements.
