HonorVet Technologies is seeking an IT Desktop Technician for a 6-month on-site assignment in San Clemente, CA. The role focuses on hands-on technical support, asset management, and onboarding/offboarding for both onsite and remote employees.

A customer-focused mindset and strong troubleshooting skills are required to ensure system stability and security. The ideal candidate will manage tickets, deploy deskside hardware/software, and participate in ongoing IT projects.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of related IT support experience recommended.
• Advanced experience with Windows, macOS, and enterprise IT environments.
• Experience supporting Active Directory, Entra ID, and Office 365 environments.

Job Description

The IT Desktop Technician provides hands-on technical support, manages IT assets, and owns onboard/offboarding for both onsite and remote employees. This role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring system stability, security, and scalability while supporting ongoing IT projects and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop training materials and procedures or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
• Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
• Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
• Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service Assist with onboarding of new employees.
• Make recommendations for hardware and software for the organization Perform desktop and laptop system deployments including hardware and software configuration.
• Provide regular updates on the status of tickets, open issues and projects Perform troubleshooting of supported desktop operation systems and applications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 2-5 years of related experience
• Advanced experience with Windows, macOS, and enterprise IT environments.
• Experience supporting Active Directory, Entra ID, and Office 365 environments.
• Able to plan and prioritize workload with minimal supervision Excellent customer service skills.
