Job summary

City of Lincoln is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to deliver first- and second-level IT support across local and remote environments. You will troubleshoot hardware/software, document incidents, and ensure SLAs are met on all shifts.

The role requires Windows 10/11 proficiency, Office 365, and experience with enterprise ticketing systems, with a willingness to work outside normal hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 18 months of hands-on desktop support or IT help desk experience.
• Experience supporting Windows-based environments (Windows 10/11) and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support to end users via phone, remote access, and on-site visits.
• Document incidents and service requests in the IT ticketing system in a timely and accurate manner.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS (10/11) and Microsoft Office 365; assist with macOS as needed.
• Support enterprise applications and peripheral devices (printers, desktops, laptops).
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for AV issues and escalation as required.
