Job summary

City of Lincoln in Dartmouth, MA is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to deliver first- and second-level IT support for hardware, software, and peripherals across local and remote environments.

You will document incidents in the IT ticketing system, manage Windows 10/11 and Office 365 issues, and provide basic macOS support while coordinating with vendors for AV problems and maintaining SLAs across shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 18+ months of hands-on desktop support or IT help desk experience.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support to end users via phone, remote access tools, and on-site assistance.
• Log, track, and maintain accurate documentation for all reported incidents and service requests within the designated IT ticketing system.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.
• Provide foundational support for macOS environments as needed.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers, desktops, laptops, and other peripheral devices.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to remediate AV issues as required.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of networks, servers, audio/visual systems, and telecommunications.
