Job summary

Volt is hiring a Desktop Field Services Specialist in San Diego, CA to diagnose and resolve IT issues on desktops, laptops and network services for local staff and remote users. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30am–5pm, with a pay rate of $24.00–$26.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot desktop, laptop and network IT issues for local staff and remote users.
• Provide timely resolution or escalate to appropriate technical personnel.
• Provide incident status updates via the Remedy Force ticketing system to management and end-users.
• Support and maintain positive relationships with users.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot network printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Image and deploy desktops; upgrade workstations to Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Document tickets and create knowledge base articles in the ticketing system.
• Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures for remote IT support.
