Job summary

Volt is hiring a Desktop Field Services Specialist in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving IT problems on desktops, laptops, and networks, with emphasis on Windows 10/11 deployment and imaging. You will manage tickets in Remedy Force and communicate status to users and management.

The position is full-time with a typical 8:30am–5:00pm schedule, offering benefits including health, dental, vision, life, disability coverage, 401(k), and paid time off. EOE.

Qualifications

• Experience providing desktop, laptop, and network support.
• Familiarity with Windows 10/11 deployment and imaging.
• Proficiency with ticketing systems and incident tracking.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot IT problems for desktop, laptop, or network services.
• Provide timely resolution or escalation to appropriate technical staff.
• Update incident status in Remedy Force and communicate with users.
• Maintain relationships with users and support teams.
• Install and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripherals.

Move Forward with Volt!Volt is immediately hiring for Desktop Field Services Specialist in San Diego, CA.

• Coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming employee calls with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access
• Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel.
• Provides incident status updates to management and end-users within the ticketing system (Remedy Force)
• Supports and maintains effective relationships with users
• Network / local Printer, scanner and other peripheral installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Desktop imaging and deployment
• Upgrade workstations to Windows 10 & Windows 11
• Ticketing system documentation and knowledge base article creation
• Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support.

This is a full-time opportunity.

Schedule: 8:30am to 5pm - Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE
