Job summary

Ernesta, a design-focused rug company in Fairfax, VA, seeks a Retail Trade Account Executive to grow our local trade business with interior designers, architects, and trade partners.

You will own a portfolio of trade accounts, develop new relationships, and travel 20–30% of time to events, showroom visits, and community activities, delivering expert product and design guidance and building long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of relevant experience in interior design, home furnishings, or trade sales.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships with clients or accounts over time.
• Entrepreneurial and self-motivated with drive to proactively create new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow Ernesta’s local trade business by developing long-term relationships with interior designers, architects, and trade partners.
• Own a portfolio of trade accounts and drive revenue growth through repeat projects and new acquisitions.
• Identify, prospect and acquire new trade accounts within the local design community through outreach and networking.
• Activate new trade accounts by understanding their business and opportunities to support projects.
• Spend 20–30% of time externally meeting the trade community through events and showroom activities.
• Maintain an organized pipeline with next steps, timelines and growth opportunities.
