Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to train and lead the design team while driving sales through the design services of the store. You will deliver exceptional customer service, guide homeowners, interior designers, and builders, and manage design projects from inquiry to installation.

The role emphasizes building strong client relationships, mentoring a dynamic design staff, and maintaining design standards across the store.

Qualifications

• Design education BA or AA in Interior Design.
• 6 years interior design experience in lieu of design education.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient use of design software and company tools.
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Hire and develop a design team with evaluations.
• Greet customers and support design walk-ins.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele via networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessory advice for projects.
• Design and sell complete design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
