Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead and develop the design team while driving sales and ensuring exceptional customer service in design services.

The role requires a design degree or equivalent experience, leadership background, and strong knowledge of hard surface flooring. You will manage appointments, advise clients, and collaborate across store leadership to deliver complete design solutions.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design)
• 6 years interior design experience in lieu of design education
• Combination of education and experience equal to 6 years
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop a dynamic and motivated design team, including performance evaluations
• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing design solutions
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Support company initiatives and maintain design center standards
• Engage in current and emerging design trends and utilize design applications
