Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead and train the design team, and to drive sales through design services. You will ensure customers have a positive experience by delivering exceptional service.

The role requires a design degree or 6 years of interior design experience, plus 3-5 years of leadership. You will mentor staff, schedule appointments, advise on materials, and collaborate with store leadership to complete projects from inquiry to installation.

Qualifications

• Design degree or 6+ years interior design experience
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring
• Proficient in basic mathematics
• Self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of Sr. designer/ADM experience or higher

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with residential and professional customers
• Hire and develop a design team, including performance evaluations
• Greet store customers and support design walk-ins
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals
• Advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories for residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions
• Manage multiple projects with timely communication and follow-up
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Maintain Design Center and visual standards
• Engage in current design trends and utilize design applications
