Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead the design team, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service through design services. You will recruit and mentor the design staff, greet customers, and manage design appointments while leveraging our design tools to create complete, attractive solutions for residential and commercial projects.

The role requires strong leadership, expertise in interior design, and proficiency with design software.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a Sr. designer position, ADM role, or higher

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop a dynamic design team, including performance evaluations
• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs
• Maintain master store design appointment calendar and schedule appointments
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice for residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell complete design solutions that are functional and aesthetically appealing
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and clear communication
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Engage in local professional affiliations like ASID or NKBA
