Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead and develop the design team while driving sales through design services. You will ensure customers have a positive sales experience by delivering exceptional design assistance for both residential and commercial projects.

The role requires a BA/AA in Interior Design or 6 years of interior design experience with leadership exposure, plus 3–5 years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• BA or AA in Interior Design or equivalent education.
• 6 years interior design experience or combination of education and experience equal to 6 years.
• 3–5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of Sr. designer/ADM role experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Hire and develop a dynamic design team and conduct performance evaluations.
• Greet customers and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele via networking, referrals, and store leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice for residential/commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and proactive communication.
