Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead the design team, coach designers, and grow sales through expert design services. The role focuses on customer service, relationships, and delivering high-quality design solutions for residential and commercial projects.

You will hire and mentor a design staff, schedule appointments, and collaborate with store leadership to meet sales goals while staying aligned with company standards and design trends.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills and software tools

Responsibilities

• Proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers
• Hire and develop a dynamic design team and conduct performance evaluations
• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for projects
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Support company initiatives by modeling best practices with staff
• Engage in design trends and utilize design applications
