Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead the design team, drive sales through design services, and ensure exceptional customer experiences in-store. You will hire, mentor, and manage the design staff while supporting customers with tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects.

The role requires design education or equivalent experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with design software.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience in lieu of education.
• Combination of education and experience equal to 6 years.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop a dynamic design team, including performance evaluations.
• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support design walk-in needs.
• Maintain master store design appointment calendar and schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation and achieve sales goals.
• Engage in current and emerging design trends and utilize design applications.
