Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead and develop the design team while driving sales through design services.

You will deliver exceptional customer service by guiding clients through tile, wood, stone, and accessory selections for residential and commercial projects. The role requires 3–5 years in leadership, interior design credentials or equivalent experience, and strong communication and math skills.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience
• Combination of education and experience equal to 6 years
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a Sr. designer position, ADM role, or higher

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers
• Hire and develop a design team with evaluations
• Greet customers and support design walk-ins
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele
• Advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories for projects
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions
• Manage multiple projects with high accuracy and timely follow-up
• Use company communication tools and emails consistently
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Support company initiatives by coaching best practices
• Maintain Design Center and visual standards
• Engage in current design trends
• Understand and use design applications (Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, MyProject, James Martin, HousPro)
• Participate in local professional affiliations like ASID, NKBA
