Job summary

Southland Industries invites motivated students to join our Internship and New College Graduate program, designed to immerse you in Design Engineering for HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection. You will assist the design team, perform basic calculations, drawings, and specifications under senior supervision, and gain hands-on experience with CADD and project coordination.

Expected growth includes exposure to leading MEP projects, collaboration with project teams, and potential full-time

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with Southland needs: Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Completion of Thermodynamics and HVAC Design coursework desirable.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineers in design tasks as required.
• Perform calculations, drawings, and specifications related to HVAC systems under supervision.
• Coordinate project design with management, architects, and other trades through completion.
• Review codes and field conditions to support design activities.
• Support in preparing CADD drafts and checks.
