Southland Industries is seeking motivated students for its Internship and New College Graduate program in Design Engineering for HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. You will assist the design team and contribute to calculations, drawings, and specifications under senior engineer supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with Southland needs: Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Completion of Thermodynamics and HVAC Design coursework is highly desirable.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineers in design tasks under supervision.
• Perform basic calculations for heating, cooling, loads, sizing and equipment selection.
• Coordinate design with project management, architects and other trades through completion.
• Review codes and field conditions to support design.
