Job summary

Ernesta is seeking an experienced Retail Trade Account Executive to join our Retail team. This role reports to the Showroom Leader and focuses on building and growing Ernesta’s trade business within the local design community.

You will nurture relationships with interior designers, architects, and other trade partners, managing a portfolio of accounts, expanding the pipeline, and driving revenue growth through proactive outreach and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in interior design, home furnishings, architecture and design sales, trade sales, account management, or a related design-focused industry.
• Proven ability to build professional relationships and trust with clients or accounts over time.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and able to grow a book of business.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow Ernesta’s local trade business with designers, architects, and other partners.
• Own a portfolio of trade accounts and drive repeat projects and revenue growth.
• Proactively acquire new trade accounts through outreach, referrals, and networking.
• Activate new trade accounts by understanding their business and opportunities for Ernesta.
• Spend 20–30% of time externally meeting with the trade community.
