Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Consultant to engage customers on the sales floor and guide them through tile, wood, stone, and accessory selections for residential and commercial projects.

The role involves scheduling design appointments, building client relationships, and collaborating with store leadership to achieve sales goals. Requires 1+ years of retail experience, a HS diploma or GED, and basic math skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail/customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates at least 6 months with Floor & Decor.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation and meet goals.
• Support company initiatives and model best practices with staff.
• Utilize design applications such as Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler and MyProject.
