Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Consultant to engage customers on the sales floor and support design projects, including appointments and product selections across tile, wood, stone and accessories. You will partner with store leaders to maximize sales goals and expand the design services brand.

This role requires 1+ year(s) of retail or customer service experience, basic math skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. On-site position with opportunities for growth and career advancement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail/customer service experience.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Able to use Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives and coach best practices with staff.
• Understand and utilize design applications (Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, MyProject).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
