Job summary

Floor & Decor is hiring a Design Consultant to engage customers on the sales floor and support design projects, including selection of tile, wood, stone and accessories. You will conduct design appointments to determine client needs and collaborate with store leaders to meet sales goals and expand the design services brand.

Base pay starts at $16.00 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail/customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates a minimum of 6 months with Floor & Decor.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives and coaching.
• Use design applications Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, and MyProject.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
