Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN invites a Construction Project Manager Intern/Co-op for Summer 2027 to participate in the full lifecycle of design/build projects.

You’ll work alongside experienced DBMs, learning concepts from initial design through final delivery, including meetings, buyout, permitting, and site visits. You’ll gain hands-on experience in estimating, scheduling, reporting, and vendor coordination while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program.
• Driver’s License required.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Concept to Completion: assist in managing projects from idea through delivery.
• Estimating and Takeoffs: learn to describe project proposals and assign values.
• Scheduling: help create timelines for subcontractors and trades.
• Design Meetings: attend meetings with owners and design team.
• Reporting: prepare weekly reports and track action items.
• Shop Drawing & Submittal Review: route submittals and communicate approvals to subs.
