Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager Intern/Co-op for Summer 2027 in Columbia, MD. You will join a fast-paced, collaborative team and gain exposure to a full project lifecycle from concept through final delivery.

You'll learn estimating, scheduling, design meetings, site visits, and reporting while shadowing experienced DBMs. This paid internship offers housing support and professional development within a top design/build firm.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program.
• Driver’s License.
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• Previous Co-op or Intern experience in construction preferred, but not required.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Concept to Completion: learn how projects progress from concept to final delivery.
• Estimating and Takeoffs: describe proposals and assign accurate dollar values.
• Scheduling: assist in creating timelines for subcontractors.
