Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager Intern/Co-Op for Summer 2027 in Louisville, KY. This program provides hands-on exposure to project lifecycles, from concept to final delivery, with mentorship from seasoned DBMs.

You’ll learn estimating, scheduling, design meetings, reporting, site visits, and permitting while supporting bid processes and submittals in a fast-paced design/build environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering program.
• Driver’s license required as part of the internship program.
• Strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Learn the full lifecycle of a construction project from concept to delivery.
• Assist in estimating, takeoffs, and preparing project proposals with accurate values.
• Support scheduling of subcontractors and trade activities.
• Attend design meetings with owner and design team, including engineers and architects.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and track action items.
• Shadow experienced DBMs during project calls and site visits.
• Assist with permits, submittals, and shop drawing reviews.
• Gain exposure to bidding, change orders, and pay applications.
• Participate in training sessions and business development activities.
