Job summary

ARCO Design/Build offers an internship/co-op for Construction Design/Build Project Manager (DBM) Intern/Co-op. You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project, from concept to final delivery, working with experienced professionals who are invested in your growth.

Expect hands-on involvement in estimating, scheduling, design meetings, permitting, submittals, billing, and site visits, with ongoing training and mentorship to develop professionally within a leading design/build firm.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered).
• Driver's License.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• Previous Co-op or Intern experience in construction preferred, but not required.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the full lifecycle of a project from concept to delivery.
• Assist in estimating, takeoffs, and describing proposals with dollar values.
• Help develop schedules for subcontractors and trades.
• Attend design meetings with the owner and design team.
• Prepare weekly reports and track meeting action items.
• Shadow site visits and learn buyout and permitting processes.
• Support billings, submittals, and shop drawing reviews.
