Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Construction Project Manager Intern or Co-Op for Summer 2027. You will join a leading design/build construction firm and gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project from concept to delivery.

This paid internship offers hands-on experience in estimating, scheduling, design meetings, permitting, and reporting, with mentorship and a collaborative, inclusive culture to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate/graduate program.
• Driver’s License
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
• Previous Co-op or Intern experience in construction preferred, but not required
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Concept to Completion approach: learn how projects are managed from initial concept to final delivery.
• Attend design meetings with owner and design team, including structural engineers and architects.
• Scheduling: assist in creating timelines for subcontractors/trades activities.
• Reporting: prepare weekly reports and track meeting action items.
• Shadowing: observe project calls and site meetings with Design/Build Managers.
