Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Construction Design/Build Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of industrial and tilt-up projects from concept through closeout. You will coordinate design teams, manage estimates, schedules, safety, and budgeting while leading subcontractor buyout and on-site meetings.

The role emphasizes building strong client relationships, delivering high-quality results, and driving continuous improvement within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead every facet of the project from start to finish including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, design coordination, cost tracking, safety, and proposal development.
• Deliver accurate, detailed estimates for successful execution.
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to shape concepts into buildable solutions.
• Participate in proposal meetings to refine scope and reduce costs with engineering insights.
• Lead subcontractor selection and buyout to ensure top-tier talent and cost effectiveness.
• Drive on-site communication with bi-weekly site meetings to keep progress on track.
• Make confident decisions under pressure to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate multiple moving parts to align scope, schedule, and budget.
• Champion quality and continuous improvement across processes.
