Job summary

ARCO, a family of construction companies, is seeking a Design/Build Manager in Charlotte, NC who can lead projects from concept through closeout. You will handle estimating, scheduling, quality control, design coordination, and client communication to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering and 3–10 years of commercial construction management experience, with proven decision-making under deadlines and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field
• 3–10 years of construction management experience on commercial projects
• Ability to make sound decisions under tight deadlines
• Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities
• Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Manage all managerial and administrative aspects of a project (estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, billing, design coordination)
• Ensure accurate and complete project estimates
• Collaborate with owners and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas
• Oversee buyout process and selection of subcontractors
• Conduct bi-weekly on-site project meetings and ensure progress
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines
• Plan and manage multiple activities to achieve results
• Evaluate processes to maintain quality and implement improvements
• Maintain integrity and alignment with company values and client expectations
