ARCO Design/Build, Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking an Assistant Superintendent (New Grad 2027) to join our hands-on field leadership team.

You will be exposed to the full lifecycle of projects, working with seasoned professionals who are invested in your growth, with emphasis on safety, schedule, and quality in design/build environments. You will assist with preconstruction planning, scheduling, field leadership, and subcontractor coordination while developing a foundation in tilt-up concrete

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction Planning – Attend post-award meetings to review project details and assist with construction planning before work begins
• Project Scheduling – Develop construction schedules, sequencing, staffing plans, and equipment needs with the Project Manager
• Field Leadership – Oversee daily construction activities to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence
• Subcontractor Coordination – Manage subcontractor activities and coordinate across trades
