Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Southlake, TX is seeking a Medical Scheduler to manage patient appointments, coordinate physician calendars, and handle high call volumes in a busy dermatology office.

You will verify insurance, assist with registration, and support efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent customer service. A high school diploma and at least 1 year in a medical office are required; dermatology experience is a plus. Bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office.
• Dermatology experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Excellent phone skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented.
• Basic understanding of healthcare plans.
• Be able to read and understand medical benefits.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with high call volume.
• Maintain physicians schedules scheduling office visits and procedures (may be done via phone or face-to-face).
• View patient visit notes, identifying problems & diagnosis listed and physician orders.
• Assist in patient registration and financial transactions.
• May schedule radiology/lab.
• May include recall scheduling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
