Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Patient Service Representative to serve as the primary contact for patients in a dermatology clinic. The role supports registration, appointment scheduling, EHR tasks, payments, and front-desk operations to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include greeting and checking in/out patients, collecting payments, and coordinating referrals and schedules. Strong communication and multitasking are essential in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical front desk/admin experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and EHR systems.
• Strong communication and multitasking in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the clinic; reconcile cash totals.
• Greet, check in/out patients; update demographic and insurance data.
• Collect co-pays and payments; issue receipts and log cash.
• Maintain welcoming waiting area and communicate delays.
• Schedule, reschedule, confirm appointments; track no-shows.
• Complete patient outreach for scheduling and eligibility verification.
• Prepare upcoming appointments by reviewing charts and referrals.
• Scan and organize referrals, labs, and authorizations in EHR.
• Answer/route calls; coordinate with billing and clinicians.
• Coordinate referrals and appointment requests per procedures.
• Process and track retail products and inventory.
• Support front-desk documentation and end-of-day reporting.
• Assist with onboarding and guidance for front-desk staff.
• Address patient concerns and escalate as needed.
• Complete compliance training and related duties.
