Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Patient Concierge to create a warm, patient-centric experience and drive responsive administrative support across our practice settings.

You will greet patients, handle check-in/check-out, verify eligibility, assist with scheduling and MyChart education, and coordinate with Access Center and care teams to address time-sensitive needs. A high school diploma is required; one year of practice-based healthcare or customer service experience is

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Preference given to graduates of administrative training programs.
• Minimum one year practice-based experience or in a similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Competencies include excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills; time management; empathy and patient-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

• Engages patients in a polite, prompt, and compassionate manner during all practice-based patient interactions.
• Performs clerical service delivery functions with patients, including check-in, check-out, pre-registration and real-time eligibility verification, registration, MyChart education, appointment/testing scheduling at check-out, and cash collection.
• Delivers waiting room concierge service and supports patients utilizing kiosk check-in process.
• Assists with practice opening/closing procedures, mail/deliveries, cash reconciliation, and faxes processing.
• Supports team members by addressing in-basket clerical pool messages and coordinating with Access Center for scheduling.
• Facilitates connections to Care Team for time-sensitive clinical inquiries.
• Maintains a solution-oriented mindset to anticipate patient needs and collaborates across departments.
