Job summary

Golden State Dermatology seeks a friendly Medical Receptionist to welcome patients, verify insurance, and manage appointments at our Beverly Hills clinic. You will handle calls, ensure accurate records, and support skincare product education with patients and staff.

In this role you will multitask across front desk operations, maintain smooth check-in/out, and assist the Practice Manager when needed. A healthcare or dermatology background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and patient-focused approach.
• Experience or familiarity with dermatology/healthcare environments.
• Knowledge of insurance coverage and eligibility processes.
• Comfort using EMR software such as EClinicalWorks or EMA.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and manage front desk check-in/out.
• Verify and document insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Answer phone inquiries and direct calls as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling data.
• Audit schedules for upcoming appointments and confirm attendance.
• Reach out to patients on waiting lists to fill openings.
• Educate patients about skincare products and upsell where appropriate.
• Handle multitasking and support practice operations; assist the Practice Manager as needed.
