Job summary

M.C. Dean, a leader in Building Intelligence, is seeking a Deputy Project Leader for its Security and Electronic Systems unit.

You will oversee day-to-day project operations, manage change orders, and coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals to keep programs on schedule and within budget. Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering with 5+ years of construction experience, strong interpersonal and writing skills, CPM scheduling knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office, Blue

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (EE or related) with 5+ years of experience.
• 5 years' experience with electrical/construction contractors.
• Experience on projects from $500k to $10M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• CPM Scheduling knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Research and compile submittals; price change orders and prepare estimates.
• Confer with owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss issues.
