Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) group.

You will lead day-to-day project activities, manage change orders and submittals, and coordinate with clients and contractors on intrusion, access control, video, and IT systems for federal, local, and commercial customers. Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering with 5+ years of construction experience, CPM scheduling expertise, and strong writing and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with CPM Scheduling.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precise technical plans.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensuring effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
• Maintain as-builts as work is completed and document project issues/conditions.
• Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
• Develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters.
