Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Deputy Project Leader for its Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. The role leads day-to-day project operations, coordinates with owners and contractors, and ensures changes are executed on schedule and within budget.

The candidate will interpret blueprints, manage submittals and change orders, and support cash flow planning. Travel to project sites is required as needed, with a focus on delivering secure, integrated electronic systems for diverse customers.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (EE or related) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with electrical or construction contracting.
• Experience with CPM scheduling and construction project controls.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against expenses.
• Maintain as-builts and document project issues/conditions.
• Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Prepare estimates for partially designed projects and complete project estimates.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues.
