Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. This training role develops supervision, planning, budgeting, and project analysis skills for federal, local, and commercial security projects.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering and 5+ years of construction experience, with proficiency in MS Project, Blue Beam, and MS Office, plus strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 5+ years of experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
• Document project issues/conditions.
• Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
• Develop goals and plans to prioritize and organize work.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Research and compile submittals; pricing change orders, safety plans, and schedules.
• Confer with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues.
