Job summary

Tomorrow.io is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to lead overall project management for a contracted NOAA program. This full-time role ensures the program is organized, compliant, and able to execute across task orders, technical teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders.

The deputy PM will manage schedules, progress reporting, risk management, and closeout support, coordinating with NOAA and Tomorrow.io leadership to deliver on contract requirements and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project/program management, government program execution, or related roles.
• Experience managing complex programs with multiple workstreams, schedules, risks, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of NOAA’s NWP modeling suites.
• Strong discipline in schedule, risk, action tracking, meeting facilitation, status reporting, and deliverable coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support overall project management across IDIQ and task orders, ensuring contract requirements and commitments are met.
• Manage PMO operating cadence: kickoff meetings, biweekly progress meetings, leadership reviews, and reviews.
• Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule with milestones, dependencies, and risks.
• Create and maintain core program artifacts: PM Plan, comms plan, staffing plans, risk log, action tracker, and logs.
• Drive task order implementation: scope confirmation, resource planning, schedule tracking, and risk management.
• Coordinate with technical leadership and corporate functions to ensure aligned execution and clear blockers.
• Support contract execution requirements with Ops: labor visibility, subcontractor support, invoicing inputs, onboarding, and compliance.
• Maintain visibility into risks, issues, blockers, decisions, dependencies; elevate critical items.
• Prepare customer briefings, monthly progress reports, program reviews, and executive dashboards for NOAA and Tomorrow.io.
• Ensure program records in Jira, Confluence, GitHub Projects, or similar systems.
• Support quality review of deliverables and maintain a disciplined operating model across Team Tomorrow.
