Job summary

Tomorrow.io is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to lead the NOAA contract program. This full-time role requires organizing, coordinating, and ensuring compliance across task orders, technical teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders.

The role is responsible for driving schedule discipline, risk management, and timely deliverables while acting as a primary liaison with NOAA and Tomorrow.io leadership. Familiarity with federal programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management, program management, or a related role, including government programs.
• Experience managing complex programs with multiple workstreams, schedules, risks, and deliverables.
• Knowledge of NOAA’s NWP modeling suites is preferred.
• Experience supporting government contracts, federal programs, or customer-facing delivery programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to prepare executive-ready updates.

Responsibilities

• Support overall PMO across IDIQ and task orders, ensuring requirements and milestones are met.
• Manage PMO cadence: kickoff, biweekly progress meetings, leadership reviews, and reviews of subcontractors.
• Maintain Integrated Master Schedule with milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain core program artifacts: PM Plan, communication plan, risk logs, and progress reports.
• Drive task order implementation: scope confirmation, resource planning, and closeout support.
• Coordinate with technical leadership and corporate functions to align execution and remove blockers.
• Support contract execution requirements, including labor visibility, subcontractor coordination, and invoicing inputs.
• Maintain visibility into program risks, issues, and dependencies; elevate critical items.
• Prepare customer briefings and monthly progress reports for NOAA and Tomorrow.io leadership.
• Ensure program records are in approved tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub Projects or equivalents.
