Outward in Enfield is seeking a Deputy Manager to oversee a 14-flat supported living service for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. You will work with the Team Manager to lead staff, ensure safe, person-centred care, and drive service improvements while maintaining regulatory compliance and high standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in adult social care.
• Experience supervising staff within a supported living or residential care environment.
• Strong understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding adults, risk management and PBS.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions and complex health needs, promoting independence, dignity and informed choice.
• Support the Team Manager with the daily operational management of the service, ensuring safe and effective service delivery.
• Coordinate and monitor staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, continuity of support and compliance with commissioned support hours.
• Lead on the development, implementation and regular review of person-centred support plans, risk assessments, health action plans and PBS plans.
• Carry out key working responsibilities, including assessments, support reviews, multidisciplinary meetings and engagement with families and professionals.
• Provide line management, supervision, induction, mentoring and performance support to staff, promoting development and accountability.
• Assess staff competencies, including medication administration, moving and handling, safeguarding and the delivery of complex care.
• Support the effective management of medication, safeguarding concerns, incidents and accidents, ensuring reporting and learning.
• Monitor the quality of care and support through observations, audits and continuous improvement activities.
• Support financial management, including monitoring expenditure and commissioned hours.
