Job summary

People House Recruitment Ltd in Kettering is recruiting a Deputy Manager for a four-bed EBD children’s home. You will support the Registered Manager, lead shifts and develop the staff team in a safe, therapeutic environment.

This role offers progression to Level 5 and potential Registered Manager opportunities, with funded training and enhanced DBS. You will work long-day shifts with occasional sleep-ins and receive 28 days’ annual leave including bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a children’s residential home.
• Safeguarding knowledge and understanding of Ofsted requirements.
• Experience supporting rosters and budgets.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

People House Recruitment is recruiting a Deputy Manager for a four-bed EBD children’s home in Kettering.

This is a strong opportunity for an established Deputy Manager or a capable Senior Support Worker ready to take the next step. You will join a supportive leadership team within a growing children’s residential provider, helping to create a safe, therapeutic and nurturing home for young people.

The role

Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of a four-bed EBD home.

Lead shifts, support and develop the staff team, and step up to manage the home when needed.

Promote high-quality, child-centred and therapeutic care.

Maintain strong safeguarding, Ofsted and regulatory standards.

Contribute to rotas, staffing, budgets and the smooth running of the service.

Work full-time hours across long-day shifts, with occasional sleep-ins.

Essential requirements

• At least two years’ experience within a children’s residential home, at Senior Support Worker or Deputy Manager level.
• Completed Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Children and Young People.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements and children’s residential regulations.
• Experience supporting with rotas and budgets.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Able to work long-day shifts and occasional sleep-ins.
