Job summary

Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) seeks a Deputy Director to lead the Child Support Administration. You will oversee staff, develop efficient policies, and coordinate efforts with the Metropolitan Director to meet agency goals.

You will supervise units, research operations, and advise on budget and resource priorities, ensuring effective child support services across Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Eight years of administrative, professional or technical work experience; at least three years supervising staff or directing program development in a child support or human services program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate Child Support Administration activities and operations.
• Develop procedures and management structures to meet agency goals and optimize resources.
• Provide guidance to the Director and advise on program priorities and utilization of personnel and equipment.
• Conduct special research projects and prepare reports on various operations and trends.
