Job summary

Maryland Department of Human Services seeks an experienced HR Deputy Assistant Director for the ChildSupport Administration. You will oversee HR officers and personnel associates, ensuring accurate interpretation of personnel laws for about 400 employees across multiple jurisdictions.

You will supervise Workday processing, benefits/retirement, recruitment, and employee relations, guiding strategy and compliance with state policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Eight years of HR experience with recruitment, employment services, classification, salary administration, and HR policy.
• Substitution options include a Bachelor's plus four years of HR experience or 30 graduate credits in HR-related fields.
• Military or paraprofessional experience may substitute for up to six years.

Responsibilities

• Guide Directors and senior teams on HR matters including Workday, benefits, and employment services.
• Direct daily HR operations for CSA across five offices and oversee onboarding/offboarding.
• Ensure timely processing of investigations, grievances, and performance programs.
