Job summary

The First National Bank in Sioux Falls is seeking a Deposit Services Specialist to support the administration and back-end management of customer deposit accounts. You will perform a variety of operations to ensure accurate processing in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements, researching and resolving deposit-related questions and issues.

This role collaborates with internal teams and external partners to deliver timely, reliable support and maintain strong operational controls.

Responsibilities

• Deposit Processing Reconciliation and Maintenance: Process deposit servicing maintenance and reconciliation, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
• CIP/COBO processing: Process CIP and COBO check-off efficiently; identify, address, and escape issues appropriately.
• New account openings: Process new account openings, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
• IRA support: IRA Savings & IRA CD Administrative Support; assist with IRA/EOY Reporting.
• Unclaimed property: Ensure unclaimed property is sent to appropriate states.
• Check-off accuracy: Complete all required check off processes efficiently and accurately; address issues appropriately.
• Discrepancy resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Quality control: Deliver accurate, compliant, and customer-focused support; review system reports and correct errors.
• Account updates: Update accounts as needed relative to DDA, Savings, COD, and IRA exceptions; input changes on Navigator.
• Mail processing: Handle incoming/outgoing mail securely; log checks, scan documents, and route mail pieces.
• Customer service: Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and organization skills; maintain professional rapport and adapt to needs.
