Job summary

Istari Digital seeks a Deployment Strategist to own customer program outcomes end-to-end, embedding with forward deployed engineers on flagship programs or lighter engagements. You will decide what matters, what to prove, and how the deployment becomes indispensable to the customer.

You will collaborate with a shared Program Operations team while owning the overall result. This role favors judgment, adaptability, and the ability to influence across engineers and executives.

Qualifications

• Judgment, curiosity and bias toward action without formal authority.
• Domain fluency in commercial space development and related defense domains.
• Ability to interrogate engineering claims and communicate credibly with engineers and executives.
• Product sense for what to build next and what not to build.

Responsibilities

• Own the outcome of a program end to end: define success, order priorities, and prove milestones.
• Embed with government and industry customers to understand mission, constraints and politics.
• Set direction for a small Forward Deployed Engineering team and protect their time.
• Own growth through options, follow-ons, and expansions based on delivered outcomes.
• Feed field learnings back into product and engineering to improve the platform.
• Travel to customer sites and attend test events as needed; domestic travel is common.
