Job summary

Istari Digital seeks a Deployment Strategist to own customer program outcomes, embedding with a small team of forward deployed engineers on flagship programs. You will decide what matters, what to prove, and how deployment becomes indispensable for the customer.

You will carry Program Manager responsibilities on major federal programs, coordinating with executives, engineers, and the government program office. This role may involve travel to customer sites domestically.

• Track record of owning an outcome with no formal authority.
• Insider fluency in defense acquisition and government program work.
• Technical breadth to advise engineers and customers alike.
• Ability to operate with incomplete information and shifting requirements.
• Product-management mindset and ability to prioritise needs.
• Excellent briefing and storytelling skills for executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the outcome of a program end to end: define success, choose problems, and set milestones.
• Embed with government and industry customers to understand mission, constraints, and politics.
• Serve as named Program Manager on major federal programs and manage commitments.
• Set direction for a small Forward Deployed Engineering team and protect their time.
• Shape growth via option years, follow-ons, and expansions from delivered outcomes.
• Feed field learnings back into product and engineering to improve the platform.
• Work day-to-day at or travel to customer sites, typically domestic.
